Clarence Stucke Dies In Quincy

Clarence F. (Bud) Stucke, 65, died Dec. 20 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Quincy where he had been admitted as a patient an hour before. Mr. Stucke and his wife were visiting overnight at the Virgil Duesterhaus home in Quincy when he became ill and was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital where he died an hour later.

He was born in Beardstown Sept. 19, 1900, a son of Frank and Olive Aldrich Stucke.

He is survived by his widow, Nina; his mother, Mrs. Orley Danner of Astoria; and sister, Miss Mildred Stucke of Long Beach, Calif.

He formerly operated the Phillips 66 station and was manager of the Beardstown Bowl prior to being an auto salesman for Cass County Rambler Sales. He was a member of the Beardstown Elks Club.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Northcutt Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Marshall officiating. Burial was in the family lot in City Cemetery.
