Mrs. Myrtle Slaight, 65, Dies Thursday

Mrs. Myrtle Ann Slaight, 65, of Woodland Township, died Thursday morning at her home. She had been ill for some time.

She was a lifelong resident of the Astoria area. Born on Jan. 13, 1895, in Woodland township, the daughter of Elijah and Elisa Shores Springs, she was married to Harley Slaight on Dec. 18, 1913, in Havana.

Mrs. Slaight was a member of the Followers of Christ church.

Survivors include the husband, Harley Slaight and one daughter, Miss Betty Slaight of Lewistown. One son, Noah Wayne Slaight preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, with the Rev. Ed Hagan and the Rev. Robert Wiseman officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
