Bertha Sherrill Of Browning, Dies

Mrs. Bertha Sherrill, 73, of Browning, died Monday afternoon at the Culbertson hospital in Rushville.

Mrs. Sherrill was born Nov. 12, 1886 in Lewistown, a daughter of DeWitt and Olive Trapp Lewis. She was married to Walter P. Sherrill in 1903. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are five children, Donald Sherrill, Mrs. Helen Smith and Mrs. Ruth Shrum of Browning, Lewis and Dale of Beardstown, one sister, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Central Christian Church, Royal Neighbors Lodge and Maple Rebekah Lodge of Browning.

The body will be taken to the Sherrill home in Browning at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) where friends may call. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Central Christian church in Browning with burial in Browning cemetery.
