Former Resident Dies In Michigan

Belle Salisbury Scott died in a hospital in Muskegon, Mich., on May 26. She was born on December 10, 1902 near Sheldons Grove, a daughter of John Mason and Julia Carter Salisbury. She spent her childhood in the Sheldons Grove area.

She was united in marriage to Chester Scott of Pontiac, Mich., on Aug. 2, 1940, who survives. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Bessie Negus, Mrs. Inez Peacock and Ed Salisbury of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Vada Hogue, Mrs. Zelma Bergen and Jack Salisbury of Muskegon, Mich. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held May 28 at The Sytsema Chapel in Muskegon, and crematory rites were held in Birmingham, Mich. On Saturday, June 18, the ashes were interred in the Thompson cemetery near Astoria.

Those here for the interment were Chester Scott, Mrs. Bessie Negus and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Salisbury, Geraldine and Linda of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Vada Hogue of South Bend, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wheeler and Mrs. B. B. Cover of Peoria, Ill.
