BADER — Mrs. Louise McCombs received word from her cousin Mrs. Christine Boutellier of the death of her mother Mrs. Mabel Shultz of Columbus, Mont., on Saturday, Jan. 2 at the Stillwell Community hospital. She fell in her home on Christmas day and fractured her hip. Mrs. Shultz had suffered a stroke last May and was a partial invalid. It was necessary for her to undergo surgery to put in a pin, and she did not survive the operation. Her funeral was held in the Columbus Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Mrs. Shultz had resided in Montana 45 years and in Columbus 27 years. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Eli Dixson, and she was born to them in Roseville, Ill., on March 26, 1874. Her marriage to John Shultz took place in Rushville, Ill., in February, 1896. He died in Columbus in February 1968. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Murphy, Mineral Springs, Texas, and Mrs. E. A. Boutellier of San Clemento, Calif.
