Harvey Schisler, 76, of Bushnell, died at the St. Francis hospital in Macomb last Tuesday afternoon following an illness of about three weeks.
He was born Dec. 25, 1878, in Fulton county, to Martin and Amanda (Robertson) Schisler. He worked on farms in the Bushnell community most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Lora; five children, Mrs. Violet Walsh, of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Anna Chambers of Bushnell, Mrs. Wanda Hopping of Vermont, Lester Schisler of Tullahoma, Tenn., Richard Schisler of Clifton, N. J.; 16 grandchildren; six stepchildren; seven brothers, John, Martin, Homer, Cooney, Edward, all of Abingdon, Arthur of Rock Island and Biddie of Bushnell; and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Danner of Abingdon, Mrs. Amanda McDonald of Astoria and Mrs. Fannie Voorhees of Ellisville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bushnell Methodist church with the Rev. A. J. Copeland officiating. Interment was in the Vermont cemetery.
