Former Astorian Dies At Macomb Hospital

Ray Nelson Seitz, 41, of Adair, son of Charles Milton and Cora Erb-Seitz, was born at Astoria, Feb. 24, 1910, and passed away at the Phelps hospital in Macomb on Wednesday of last week at 10:10 p.m., after several months illness.

He was married May 3, 1933, to Ethel Mae Dorethy, who survives, also two children, Ruth Darlene, and James Leroy, at home. Also surviving are his father, Charles M. Seitz, one brother, Earl, three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Murfin, Mrs. Hazel Cox, and Miss Helen Seitz, all of Adair. His mother preceded him in death.

Mr. Seitz was engaged in farming and spent his entire life in the Astoria, Good Hope and Adair communities. He was a devoted husband and was well liked by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock at the Dodsworth and Piper Chapel in Macomb. Burial was made in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
