VeteranMason City Man, Father Of 10, Killed in Korea

An Illinois father of ten has been killed and his son wounded in the Korean war.

Mrs. William Simmons, Sr., received word from Defense Department Tuesday of last week that her 41-year old husband had been killed, their 20-year old son, William Jr., was wounded in action earlier. Both were privates first class.

Mrs. Simmons said there are nine boys and one girl in the family. A son, Carl, 19, is serving in the Air Force in Japan. The oldest son is recovering from his wounds.
