Irvin Salisbury was born Sept. 17, 1849, and died at his home in Canton, Jan. 8, 1930, aged 80 years, 3 months and 21 days.
The deceased was born in this community. He was united in marriage to Clarissa Smith in 1875. Four children were born to this union, three daughters and one son. The son, Harvey Salisbury of Ipava, survives. His wife passed away March 7th, 1888. Besides his son, he is survived by two brothers, G. W. Salisbury of Cuba and Riley Salisbury of Astoria and a sister, Mrs. Ida Heidenrich of Table Grove.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Church of the Brethren, Astoria, at 11 o’clock, conducted by Rev. E. O. Norris. Interment in the Thompson cemetery.
