Death Comes To Mrs. David Switzer On Sunday Night

Mrs. David Switzer, aged 77 years, 6 months and 12 days, died at her home in this city Sunday night, after an illness of many months.

Emily, daughter of James and Jane Litchfield was born near Astoria, Ill., March 29, 1847.

She was united in marriage to Homer Brannan in the fall of 1874 and to this union was born one son, Jesse L. Brannan of Peoria, Ill. She was married the second time, March 13, 1895 to David Switzer of Astoria whom she leaves to mourn her departure.

About 62 years ago she was converted and united with the Pleasant Ridge U. B. Church, later moving her membership to the U. B. church in Astoria, where she remained a faithful member until death.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her companion, one son, one sister, Mrs. Olive Aten of Memphis, Mo., one brother, Manford Litchfield of Astoria, Ill., two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the U. B. church Tuesday at 2:00 P. M. conducted by the pastor, W. R. Seitzinger and interment at the Astoria cemetery.
