TREACY ANN (COOPER) SHRIVER

Treacy Shriver

IPAVA — Treacy Ann Cooper, daughter of Levin and Eleanor Ann Cooper, was born in Vermont Tp., Fulton county, Ill., September 4, 1843 and passed away at the Prince Sanitarium, at Springfield, Ill., June 27, 1920, aged 76 years, 9 months and 23 days. In December, 1896, she was married to John Shriver of Smithfield, Ill. Their’s was a happy married life for almost fifteen years, they making their home part of that time in Oregon and Missouri, and for a short time resided in Ipava. Mr. Shriver died in May, 1911. After his death she lived in Smithfield and Canton until April of this year, when she came to Ipava to make her home with her brother, Philetus Cooper. She was one of a family of twelve children, only four of whom now survive. They are: Mrs. N. R. Knowles, Ipava; M. T. Cooper, Ipava; Dr. C. C. Cooper, Lewistown; P. H. Cooper, Ipava. Four brothers and three sisters are deceased. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, June 29, in the Ipava Christian church.
