VERMONT — Frederick M. Scofield was born in Vermont, Ill., April 26, 1869, and died at Sumpter near Baker, Oregon, Jan. 4, 1920, aged 50 years, 8 months and 8 days. He was a mining engineer. The body was shipped here arriving here Jan. 20th. Burial occurred from the J. L. Zoll home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. A short funeral service was conducted by Rev. Rose at the cemetery. Sarah Zoll of Oklahoma City and J. W. Scofield of Iowa, accompanied the body here.
