WILLIAM SALISBURY

William Salisbury Dead.

William Salisbury, son of Jane and Marcus Salisbury, was born in Woodland, Fulton Co., Illinois June 11th, 1841, and died at his home in East Woodland, Sept. 22, 1910, after suffering about four months with dropsy, being 69 years, 3 months and 11 days of age at the time of his death. He was the oldest member of a family of seven, all of whom have preceded him to the land of rest except one brother, Geo., who resides about 4 miles southeast of Summum.

He was united in marriage with Angeline Stephens, Oct. 30th, 1878, and to this union were born five children, namely:

Leona (Mrs. M. S. Dutton), Mary, John, Maggie and George. These children, a faithful companion and one brother survive.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Frasier, of the Baptist church Saturday at 11 a.m., and the remains were laid to rest, in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
