Carl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sears, was born April 7, 1899, died August 21st, 1902, aged 3 years, 4 months, 14 days.

Little Carl scattered good cheer and sunshine through the home during his brief life in this world, until God needed one more angel child amidst his shining band and then He bent His loving smile and clasped our darling's hand.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at Oak Grove church by Revs. D. E. Baer and Wm. Spurlock.

A large number of friends were present to lend sympathy and assistance to the bereaved parents.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is still;
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
God, in His wisdom, has recalled
The boon His love had given,
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in Heaven.

— A Relative.
