GLEN CORA (BOWMAN) SUMMERS

Cora Summers

We have before us a copy of the Quincy Journal which gives the particulars of the death of Mrs. Cora Summers, wife of James Summers, of Quincy, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bowman of this city. Recently the lady lost a little child by death and it seems had become greatly worried over it and made repeated trips to the cemetery. She was missed from home on Saturday night and on search being made the body was found dead on her child’s grave in the cemetery about 8 o’clock at night. Dr. Nichols testified that it was his opinion that Mrs. Summers’ death was the result of general collapse caused by grief and worry, and physical ailments. There was nothing to indicate, the doctor stated, that the woman had taken anything and the body showed no marks of violence.
