HARRY SPRY

Harry Spry

Wednesday afternoon of last week Harry Spry, an eighteen-year-old boy, was crushed to death in the clay pit of William Smith’s brick yard at Cuba. While at work in the pit the bank without any warning caved in on him. Presently his fellow workmen noticed his absence, and upon going into the pit discovered the cave-in where he had been engaged at work. The conclusion was at once reached that he had been caught and buried. As rapidly as possible the dirt was removed and there in a crushed condition the young man was discovered. He was yet alive, but died in two hours.
