Rosalie ReynoldsRosalie Reynolds, 96, of Rushville died at 6:06 p.m. Nov. 24, 2021, in Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1925, at her home in Sangamon, County, a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Helen Pearl Fisher Bilyeu. She married John F. Reynolds Jr. on May 17, 1946, in Pekin. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2004.

She also was preceded in death by six brothers, Benjamin, Warren, George, Robert, Norman and Charles Bilyeu; and one sister, Delores DeVore.

Surviving are five sons, Scott Reynolds, Eric Reynolds and Murray (and Mary) Reynolds, all of Rushville, Todd (and Beth) Reynolds of Wheaton and Morgan (and Debbie) Reynolds of Yorkville; one brother, Jerry Victor (and Carol) Bilyeu of Boring, Ore.; one sister, Jacquelyn Lee (and Dwight) Whitaker of Forest City; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Manito High School in 1943. She worked two jobs to support the war effort at Camp Ellis for the Bell Telephone Company and at Caterpillar in Peoria during World War II. She then became a homemaker and raised her five sons.

She was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, a member of the Culbertson Hospital and American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Stacy Tomich officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
