She was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Cairo, a daughter of Joseph and Dorothy Ehrhardt Urban. She married Lester Robertson on Oct. 10, 1953, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2020.
Surviving are four children, Mark A. (and Vicki) Robertson of Keosauqua, Bryce A. (and Kathy) Robertson of Quincy, Ellen M. (and Kelly) Cassiday of Springfield and Kevin C. (and Melinda) Robertson of Rushville; four brothers, Ted (and Marie) Urban of Mystic, Conn., Bill (and Mary Sue) Urban of Falls of Rough, Ky., Bob Urban of Bedford, N.H., and Jim (and Gail) Urban of Moneta, Va.; three sisters, Lillian (and Jim) Joering of Westerville, Ohio, Helen (and Seb) Pagano of Benton and Mary Beth Bradley of Taylor Ridge; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She first worked for Ernest Utter Law Offices. She also helped with the opening of the Ben Franklin Store in Rushville. She went to school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked as an LPN and Scrub Nurse at Schmidt Memorial Hospital in Beardstown from 1953-72. She was a farmer’s wife and she and her husband operated Robertson Photography.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Herbert Shafer officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ridgeville Cemetery near Browning. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with a prayer service following the visitation.
