She was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Macomb, a daughter of Fred and Bernice Gossage Lucas. They preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Hughie Stambaugh of St. Augustine and Kevin Stambaugh of Keokuk, Iowa; three brothers, Michael (and Rebecca) Lucas of Industry, Paul (and Jackie) Lucas of Good Hope and Jack Lucas of Macomb; one sister, Pamela Sallee of Oneida; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
She has happily resided at Lafayette Square since 2011.
She was a graduate of Bardolph High School and attended Spoon River College in Macomb. She lived in Moberly, Mo., Shelbyville and Astoria, before returning to Macomb in 2007. She worked at Royal Haeger Lamp Company, HomeCare of Mid-Missouri, Shelbyville United Methodist Church and Bridgeway. She was a member of Scotland Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Because of the restrictions caused by COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at her church, 14950 N. 900th Macomb, with Reverend Dan Colvin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Scotland Trinity Presbyterian Church or Lafayette Square.
