Therese "Tari" RunyanTherese P. “Tari” Runyan, 64, of Rushville died at 5 a.m. July 15, 2019, at her home.

She was born Feb. 25, 1955, in Madison, Wis., a daughter of Leonard and Rose Macken Prager. She married James Runyan on Sept. 8, 1989, in Friday Harbor, Wash. He survives.

Also surviving are three children, Dane (and Leslie Anne) LaRiviere of Utica, Mich., Aspen (and significant other Levi Severns) LaRiviere of Puyallup, Wash., and Ayesha Nicole (and Mahmood Akhtar) Runyan of Fishers, Ind.; six siblings, Dan Prager of Phoenix, Ariz., Laura (and Cheryl Jennings) Prager of San Francisco, Calif., David Prager and Linda Prager, both of Friday Harbor, Wash., Mary Roberts of Washington and Catherine Theriault of Phoenix, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She graduated from Marian High School in San Diego, Calif., and St. Mary’s College of California, in Moraga, Calif., with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Med.

She first worked as a biologist for the state of Washington. She then worked as a student loan clerk for San Juan County Bank, an escrow officer in the state of Washington and as an election supervisor for San Juan County, Calif. She then began her career with election supply companies ending as an operation director with the Diebold Company. She then operated her own company, Runyan Enterprises, offering consulting services to election officials throughout the United States, retiring in 2015.

She was a volunteer biologist at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Refuge in Commerce City, Colo.

She was of the Catholic Faith.

There will be no public services at this time. The Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
