Gordon ReedyGordon Paul Reedy, 81, of Havana died at 11:51 p.m. March 25, 2019, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Nov. 22, 1937, in Table Grove, a son of Wayne Cecil and Florence Arlene Workman Reedy. He married Sandra Jo Logan on June 7, 1969, in Macomb. She preceded him in death.

He also was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin; and one son, Lance Christopher Reedy.

Surviving are one daughter, Teresa (and Matt) Kline of Havana; two grandchildren, Anthony (and Whitney) Kline and Amanda Kline, both of Havana; and two great-grandchildren.

He had attended Vermont Christian Church and was a member of Havana Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of ISEA, Odd Fellows and Pets without Parents. He had previously been a member of Mensa. He had achieved the rank of 3rd Degree Mason.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-63.

He had worked as a Casework Supervisor and retired from the Fulton County Department of Public Aid.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Havana Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jim Buchanan and Rev. Sue Roat officiating. Burial was at Harris Cemetery near Table Grove. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the building fund at Havana Church of the Nazarene.
