Buddy RomineBuddy L. Romine, 86, of Ashland died at 7:34 p.m. Sept. 14, 2017, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

He was born Nov. 16, 1930, in Macomb, a son of Herbert and Anne Teel Romine. He married Barbara A. Skiles on Sept. 4, 1955, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sue (and Preston) McKinnon of Murrayville and Jodie Romine of Jacksonville; two sons, Brian (and Susan Holt) Romine of Florissant, Mo., and Eric (and Michelle Cox) Romine of Ashland; two sisters, Mary Bowser of Wheeling, W.Va., and Sheila Doyle of Macomb; one brother, Terry (and Kay) Romine of Wheeling, W.Va.; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; one honorary grandchild; and one honorary great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Anne Teel Romine-Caldwell; one stepmother, Marge Hillyer Romine; and one sister, Wanda Romine Doring.

He served for 34 years in The Army National Guard at Camp Lincoln in Springfield in the 3637th Maintenance Co. and 232 S & S Battalion.

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving in the Korean War, stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Bob Kerr officiating. Burial was in Ridgeville Cemetery in Browning.
