William "Jim" RobesonWilliam James “Jim” Robeson, 70, of Rushville died at 3:54 a.m. Aug. 4, 2017, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Rushville, a son of William and Leona Icenogle Robeson. He married Judith Ann Allen on Sept. 6, 1964, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa (and Nick) Prather and Nicole (and Mike) Stambaugh, both of Rushville; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Robeson; and one sister, Teresa Orr.

He worked at Bartlow Brothers Packing in Rushville for 10 years. He then worked at Oscar Meyer and Co., Excel Meat Solutions, and later Cargill Corp. for 40 years, retiring in 2011.

He was a member of the Rushville Odd Fellows Friendship Lodge #24 and Schuyler County Coon Hunters Association.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Larry DeSha officiating. Burial will follow at Sims Cemetery in Huntsville, Township, Schuyler County. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday.
