Joseph A. Ramey, 49, of Lewistown died at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 25, 2013, at his home.
He was born March 28, 1964, in Clinton, Ind., a son of Donald R. and Betty Graves Ramey. He married Lissi M. Mason on Oct. 18, 1986, in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Betty of Lewistown; three sons, Donald Justin Ramey and Dakota (and Rachel) Ramey, both of Lewistown and Dylon (and Sierra) Ramey of Bryant; three brothers, James (and Shelly) Ramey of Hanna City, John Ramey of Lewistown and Nelson Ramey of Marietta, Ga.; three sisters, Donna (and Jack) Stutsman of Lewistown, Marsha (and Merle) Gazelle of rural Canton and Cindy McGhee of Georgetown; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robin Ramey.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 649.
He was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown and Lewistown VFW Post 5001 men's auxiliary.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Illinois Street Christian Church with Reverend Bob Miner officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown.
