Howard Robinson

Howard W. Robinson, 63, of Ashland, Mo., formerly of Ipava, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

He was born Dec. 27, 1937, in Industry, a son of Ross and Lola Mae Bozard Robinson.

Surviving are four sons, Wendell (and Laurie) of Ashland, Dale (and Renea) of Nye, Mont., Dean (and Vickie) of Colstrip, Mont., and Lonnie (and Kim) of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Kathy (and Darrel) Atkin of Elko, Nev.; one brother, Roger Bill (and Ann) of St. Charles; one sister, Norma McNeil of Security, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Amax Coal Co. at Sun Spot Mine in Vermont.

He was a former member of the Ipava Fire Dept. and the Vermont-Ipava-Table Grove School Board. He also was a former board member of the Village of Ipava.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava, where visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Kevin Kessler will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Astoria.

Memorials may be made to Ipava Fire and Rescue Squad.
