She was born May 3, 1911, in Carrollton, a daughter of Milton and Olive Snow Lorton. She married Dale E. Ruark on March 14, 1934, in Peoria. He died July 1, 1982.
She also was preceded in death by two grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Sarah (and Alvado) Tosi of Manito and Alice (and Homer) Martin of East Moline; one son, Edward of Milford, Neb.; seven grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth (and Rosalie) Lorton of Bushnell.
She worked at Hoods Cafe in Bushnell.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Damien Spikereit officiating. Burial was in Bushnell Cemetery.
