MARY (BALDWIN) ROSE

Mary Rose

Mary Baldwin Rose, 90, of Longmont, Colo., died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Foothills Nursing Home in Longmont, Colo., after a long and confining illness.

She was born Nov. 23, 1906, in Ipava, a daughter of Lewis F. and Verna Barstow Baldwin. She married Everett H. Rose in Roseville and later with her family moved to Colorado in 1942.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, one son, David L. Rose, her parents, and one brother, Jack F. Baldwin.

Surviving are one son, Dan Rose of Longmont; one sister, Ruth B. Johnson of Loveland; one brother, Max M. Baldwin of Greeley; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nephews and nieces.

She graduated from the Ipava High School with the class of 1924 and was a member of the Ipava Christian Church. She had worked for Nelsons’ Stationer Store for 25 years before she retired to Longmont to help care for her daughter-in-law, Georgia Rose, and remained there with her son, Dan Rose, and grandson, Scott Rose. She was currently a member of the Longmont Christian Church.

Memorial graveside services were held Oct. 30 in Greeley, Colo., at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
