Mary Jane Burgard Roehnelt, 83, of Good Samaritan Home in Eugene, Ore. since 1989, formerly of Chillicothe, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 1995, at the home.
She was born March 3, 1912, in Vermont, a daughter of Jacob E. and Grace B. Burgard. She married Tom Roehnelt on Nov. 24, 1933. He died in May, 1989. She was also preceded in death by one son, William “Bill” in 1958.
Surviving are two sons, Donald of Danville and Rodney of Eugene, Ore.; one sister, Frances Compton of Metamora; three grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
She operated the A&W Root Beer stand in Chillicothe and also worked at the Methodist Medical Center for many years.
Cremation has been accorded and memorial services will be held in Eugene and in Peoria at later dates. Arrangements are by Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene.
