James Robinson Dies March 20

James Robinson, 76, of Clinton, Mich., died March 20, 1990, at Saline Community Hospital in Michigan.

He was born April 19, 1913, in McDonough County, Ill., a son of Lawrence and Adah (Cox) Robinson. In 1938 he married Marie Shank. She preceded him in death in 1974. On Oct. 1, 1976, he married Marie Jones in Clinton. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Richard of Clinton and Robert of Willis; three daughters, Mrs. Lee (Phyllis) Waldon of Clinton, Mrs. Glenn (Diane) Hively and Marsha Richardson both of Tecumseh; two step-daughters, Mrs. Carol Cox of Clinton and Mrs. James (Joan) Brown of Tecumseh; one brother, Berthol C. Robinson of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Louise) McKinney of Painsville, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were one daughter, one brother and one sister.

Mr. Robinson resided in the Clinton area for 36 years. He worked at Bruce Foundry for 21 years and at Double A in Manchester for 12 years, retiring in 1978.

His relatives will miss him as he came back to visit every year for 42 years in the Vermont, Bushnell, Macomb, Canton and Peoria areas.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, at 1 p.m. in the Couture-Ochalek Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Clinton.
