Charles E. Riley, 77, of Canton died at 1:46 a.m. Monday, March 19, 1990, at Graham Hospital.
He was born April 29, 1912, in Vermont, a son of Charles E. and Ollie Littleton Riley. He married Kathleen M. Andrews on Jan. 28, 1950, in Burlington, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are one sister, Louise Johnson of Carrollton; and two brothers, Pat of Canton and Raymond of Rock Island. He was preceded in death by one brother.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years, retiring as a machine operator in 1973.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Oaks Memorial Chapel, with visitation one hour before the services. Rev. Delmar Smith will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
