WESLEY B. RAGAN

VeteranWesley B. Ragan Dies In Hospital

Wesley B. Ragan, 78, of East Peoria, died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 1990, at Proctor Community Hospital in Peoria.

He was born April 7, 1911, in Thayer, Mo., the son of Toledo and Exey Ragan. He married Lorene Bowers on March 22, 1952, in Hardy, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Andrew and John, and four daughters, Amanda Brown, Edna Sweatt, Connie Ragan and Eliane Manuel, all of East Peoria; two brothers, Walter of Table Grove and Mike of Thayer; one sister, Exey Heddon of Thayer; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, and one sister.

He was a World War II Army veteran and had worked for Caterpillar, Inc. before retiring in 1973. He was a member of Jesus Name Apostolic Pentecostal Church in East Peoria.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Schmidt-Haller Funeral Parlors in East Peoria with Rev. Carl Nave officiating. Burial was in Fon Du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.
