J. R. Rawley Aides At Age 77

J. R. “Jack” Rawley, 77, of Chicago, died on Dec. 29, 1979, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

He was born June 24, 1902 in Astoria, a son of Samuel and Chat Thompson Rawley. He was married to Mildred Dansinger, who survives.

Mr. Rawley attended schools in Astoria and Quincy.

A 55-year veteran of the Paint Industry, he was a retired Executive Vice President of Martin-Senour Paint Co. and Vice President of Sappanos Paint co., a Chicago-based firm.

He was a 50-year member of the Astoria Masonic Lodge, a member of the 50 Year Club of the National Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Assoc., and a member of the Lake Shore Club of Chicago.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Blake-Lamb Chapel at 1035 N. Dearborn St., Chicago, by Fr. Iver Lawrence. Mr. Rawley was cremated and his cremains will be buried in the family lot in the Astoria Cemetery.
