VeteranVermont Man Dies Suddenly

Willard H. Rudolph, Road Commissioner Vermont Twp., Died Sunday

Willard Harrison Rudolph, 52, well known Vermont resident and road commissioner of Vermont township, died Sunday at his home two miles southeast of Vermont, following a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been ill only a day.

Born May 13, 1888 in Harrison county, Ind., a son of Angie and Ida May (Dinklacker) Rudolph, he was married March 21, 1930 to Miss Dorothy Fisher of Blandinsville, who survives. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Nettie Walker of Harrison county, Indiana.

Mr. Rudolph was with the 37th Infantry at Laredo, Texas, for eight months. He was a member of Carrol Rankin Post, No. 26, American Legion. He was serving his second term as road commissioner of Vermont township. Formerly he was employed by Jansen and Shaffer construction company. In 1933 he moved from Lewistown to his present home.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the residence by the Rev. Roy W. Stocking. Burial in Glade City cemetery, Blandinsville.
