Robert McCabe Jr., of Galesburg, has been indicted for manslaughter in connection with the fatal shooting of William Rogers, a fifteen-year old high school student. Young Rogers was killed after a group of boys of which he was a member, had thrown stones against a metal covered fence, or wall, along the north side of the McCabe Scrap Iron company yards. McCabe fired a shot from a rifle, the bullet striking Rogers with fatal effect.
