Mrs. John Hoffman received a letter Monday from Mrs. Josiah Rinehart, Flora, Ind., formerly Miss Emma Knepper, well known in Astoria. Her husband passed away two weeks ago after an illness of long duration. Mrs. Rinehart’s mother, who will be remembered as a former Astoria resident, resides with her daughter and is an invalid in very poor health.
