WILLIAM CLIFTON REGAN

W. C. Regan

Stronghurst, in Henderson county, was greatly shocked Saturday morning when W. C. Regan, local undertaker, county coroner, and prominent citizen, walked in the State bank, took a gun from the cashier’s desk and went back to the wash room where he shot and killed himself. Ill health is said to have been the prompting influence of the act. Regan was a member of the Stronghurst school board, a man active in community affairs and a prominent member of the M. E. church.
