WILLIAM H. ROY

Former Sheriff Dead

William H. Roy of Canton, former chief of police of that city and sheriff of Fulton county, died Saturday morning, his death being due to a stroke, which had been preceded a year ago by a similar attack.

About six years ago he was seriously wounded by John Nicodemus, a notorious thug having a long criminal record. Nicodemus and David O’Brien, assistant chief of police, were killed in the gun battle.
