Blew Off Top Of His HeadBlew Off Top Of His HeadJames W. Rexroat, a young farmer only 21 years of age committed suicide near his home in Emmet township last Tuesday evening. No motive is given by his family as to why the rash act was committed.
He had left the home of his brother a few minutes before with a shot gun saying he was going duck hunting the next morning. They heard a shot which probably was the one he took his life with but thought very little of it supposing he had shot at a stray duck or something.
His body was not discovered until the next morning, as his sister whose home he had left earlier in the evening probably supposed he was at the home of a brother as he made his home with both of them and the brother thought he had gone to the home of the sister.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jared Rexroat who both died within a short time of each other about two years ago with typhoid fever. — Adair Beacon.
