Prominent Teacher Drowns

Supt. Homer L. Roberts of Cape Girardeau, Mo., drowned a few days ago in a river at Eminence, Mo., where he and his wife were on their vacation. The body has not been recovered.

For sometime past Mr. Roberts has been professor of Agriculture in the State Normal school at Cape Girardeau. He was about 60 years old and attended schools in this county and later taught at Bryant, Ipava, Avon and Farmington and for a time was instructor in the Western State Normal at Macomb.

His mother, Mrs. Clara Roberts resides in Lewistown. The body will likely be buried at Farmington, where his first wife is buried.
