J. C. Rhoades received a telegram Tuesday evening, from Holdridge, Nebraska, announcing the death of his father, Peter Rhoades, aged 80 years. Deceased resided in Woodland township for many years, prior to the fall of 1882, when he and his family moved to Nebraska, where they have since resided. He is survived by his aged companion, five sons, and three daughters. Burial was made in the Holdridge cemetery.
