Mrs. Martha Queen of Table Grove, who has been in the Graham hospital, Canton, for nearly a month died there at 11:35 o’clock Saturday morning. She underwent an operation recently in an attempt to save her life, but cancer caused her death.
She was born in October, 40 years ago, in Bader, a daughter of David and Helen (Devore) Powell. She married George Queen but they were separated several years ago. She is survived by several children.
Funeral services were held at Bader, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, conducted by Rev. W. H. Day, pastor of the Astoria M. E. church. Burial in Bader cemetery.
