He was born Oct. 9, 1943, in Springfield, a son of Joe Jay and Viola Henrietta Graf Page. He married Linda Edwards on Oct. 29, 1967. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2011.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; twin grandsons, Tanner and Gabriel Yingling; two sisters, Sandra Lloyd and Carol Jo Page; and one brother, Joe Page.
Surviving are four children, Jody (and Jim) Crook and Kim (and Andy) Dowson, both of Pleasant View, Lori (and Tracy) Brasel of Beardstown and Tim (and Mandy) Edwards of Rushville; one sister, Joan (and Bill) Spencer of Salisbury; one brother, Jim Page of Beardstown; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Auburn High School, he began working for the Springfield Sheet Metal Workers, in 1966 and retiring due to ill health in 1985. He assisted at Clay Mitchell auctions.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Messerer Cemetery near Frederick with Reverend Fred Fritz officiating. Burial will follow. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School in Mount Sterling or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
