Lyndall PiggLyndall Eugene Pigg, 95, of Bushnell died at 8:55 a.m. Oct. 26, 2020, at Wesley Village.

He was born May 16, 1925, in Vermont Township, a son of Sterling “Wayne” and Lizzie Hoyle Pigg. He married Norma Jean Ambrosius on March 12, 1944. She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Steven (and Linda) Pigg of Bushnell and Barbara (and Dan) Turner of Rantoul; three siblings, Delbert (and Janice) Pigg of Madison, Wis., Donald (and Judy) Pigg of Jacksonville and Lu (and Sheridan) Miller of Owens Cross Roads, Ala.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Evalena Moose.

He graduated from Adair High School in 1943 and began farming. In 1945, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps where he served in the occupational forces in Germany. He was honored to be able to participate in an Honor Flight in 2018. In 1949, he and Norma moved to a farm just south of Bushnell where they remained until moving to Wesley Village in Macomb.

He joined the Odd Fellows organization in 1950 and served in many capacities including Grand Secretary, Grand Treasurer and Grand Master at the state level. He also served as Grand Marshal at the international level. He served on the boards of Bushnell-Prairie City schools, McDonough Power Cooperative, Soyland Power Cooperative and Farmers and Merchants State Bank.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Harris Cemetery with Pastor Amy Holman officiating. Odd Fellow services will be held privately. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required. Martin Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell is in charge of arrangements.
