Linda PeacockLinda Lea Peacock, 70, of Rushville died at 7:14 a.m. Oct. 10, 2019, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 19, 1949, in LaHarpe, a daughter of Harold and Mildred Russell Jones. She married Wayne Peacock on Aug. 3, 1968, in LaHarpe. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, David (and Marilyn) Peacock of Carthage; one daughter, Michelle (and Mike) Chance of Plymouth; one brother, Alan (and Vicki) Jones of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Anita (and William) Casey and Kim (and Ed) Beckner of Tennessee, Ill.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Jones; and two grandsons, Christopher and Cody Peacock.

She worked at Webster Industries in Macomb. She also was employed at Brown’s Restaurant and Snyder-Vaughn Haven Nursing Home, both in Rushville, until retirement.

She was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the Rushville Free Methodist Campgrounds every summer.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday.
