Charles PeckCharles Edwin Peck, 79, of Rushville died at 9:55 a.m. Sept. 25, 2016, at the home of his stepdaughter in Littleton.

He was born Nov. 10, 1936, in Beardstown, the son of Walter L. and Doris Newborn Peck. He married Dollie Jett Rhoades on Aug. 18, 1973, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are four children, Kenny (and Sherry) Peck of St. Cloud, Fla., Rick (and Amy) Peck of Jacksonville, Bonnie Peck (and companion Debbie) of Talking Rock, Ga., and Kevin (and Mary) Peck of Dacula, Ga.; four stepchildren, Alan Rhoades of Tampa, Fla., Dixie Lovekamp of Chapin, Donnie Lee Rhoades of Sweet Water and Shelly Rahn (and companion Brian Gossage) of Littleton; two sisters, Alice (and Norman “Bud”) Thompson and Jenny Lou (and Rick) Flynn, both of Jacksonville; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Hobrock.

He was a union pipe fitter with Local #137 for over 50 years.

He was a member of Arenzville United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Rushville Moose Lodge #506 and Beardstown Elks Lodge #1007.

Cremation has been accorded. There will be no services held. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
