He was born Feb. 4, 1928, in St. David, a son of Pete and Lena Fontana Perardi. He married June Jackson on June 20, 1947, in Lewistown. She preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 2010.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Stephanie (and Larry) Lemke of Peoria; one son, David (and Dana) Perardi of DuQuoin; and one grandchild.
He was a retired coal miner.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of DuQuoin, UMWA District 12, Italian Brotherhood Torinese Society, Alligators Club, Lewistown Lodge 104 AF and AM, Ainad Shriners of East St. Louis and Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Southern Illinois.
Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Danie deBeer officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
