Keith PostinKeith V. Postin, 83, of Lewistown died at 8:44 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Dec. 4, 1924, in Fulton County, a son of Ollie and Edith Vollmar Postin. He married Roberta P. Eskridge on Oct. 2, 1949, in Bryant. She survives.

Also surviving are six sons, Ron (and Naylene) Postin, Ray (and Glenda) Postin, Randy (and Cathy) Postin, Roger (and Kathy) Postin and Ralph (and LeAnn) Postin, all of Lewistown, and Rob (and Kelly) Postin of Stephens, Ga.; two brothers, Harry (and Delores) Postin of Fairview and Larry (and Jo) Postin of Ellisville; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Erickson.

He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1945-46.

He was a farmer his entire life. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1942.

He was a member of Bryant Christian Church and had served as treasurer. Other memberships include: Fulton County Farm Bureau and past board member; Lewistown American Legion Post 1; Fulton County Cattlemen; Pork Producers; Spoon River Towers past board member; FFA Alumni; a 4-H Club leader; Fulton County Fair supervisor for 26 years; and WOW softball team.

Services were held Saturday at his church with Rev. Brian Ebert officiating. Burial was in Wright Cemetery in rural Lewistown where military services were conducted by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and Lewistown American Legion Post 1. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
