Teresa Perino

Teresa PerinoTeresa E. Perino, 81, of Pekin died at Pekin Manor at 12:20 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003.

She was born June 8, 1922, in Pekin, a daughter of John and Marie Canducci Pascaglia. She married Dr. Bruno "B.J." Perino on July 17, 1948, in Pekin. He died March 28, 1999, in Pekin.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Brad; three grandsons; and one sister.

Surviving are one son, Bruno II of Pekin; one daughter, Penny (and Larry) Stoehr of Ipava; one sister, Tina (and Roland) Mitchell of Pekin; five grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

She had worked at Hiram Walker & Sons in Peoria and had been a bank teller in Chicago. She and her husband also had co-owned Perino's Nursing Home in Pekin for many years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin and the Council of Catholic Women.

She also was a member of the Emblem Club and Ladies of the Moose. She was a former member of the American Recreation Club.

A funeral Mass was held Monday at her church with Rev. Timothy Nolan officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Abts Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church or the Tazewell County Historical Society.
