Mabel Pike

Mabel H. Pike, 85, of Bartonville died at 4 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2000, at Lutheran Home in Peoria, where she resided.

She was born Dec. 14, 1914, in Gilchrist, a daughter of Mike and Anna Lesko Matejewski. She married James C. Pike on Aug. 20, 1935, in Bloomington. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, James Jr. (and Roberta) of Morton; one granddaughter; three sisters, Violet Saville of Table Grove, Irene Wheeler of Canton and Lilian Scalf of Tucson, Ariz.; and two brothers, Bill Matejewski of Fiatt and Lyle Matejewski of Dallas City.

She worked as a technician for the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, where services were held Monday with Rev. Richard Hanson officiating. Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
