Clifton E. Parks, 39, of Vermont, was pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at his residence. He died in a fire at his home.
He was born Sept. 10, 1959, in Canton, the son of Clifton J. and Wilma Benham Parks.
Surviving are his mother of Norfork, Ark.; four sons, Clifton, Ronnie, Christopher and Jacob, all of Davenport, Iowa; four daughters, Amber Parks, Angela Parks, Samantha Parks, and Ashley Parks, all of Davenport; one sister, Tracy Hilger of Hooppole; and one grandson.
His father preceded him in death.
He formerly worked for Pine’s Trailer Factory in Kewanee.
Private services were held Monday. Cremation has been accorded. Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
